Most people associate Italian wines with its 2 most famous regions: Tuscany and Piedmont. And although these two regions received a total of 108 Three Glass Awards from the prestigious Gambero Rosso in 2007, the regions we’ll be visiting received 83 Three Glass awards–not too shabby!!! And with the exception of Venice, and possibly Verona, the rest of Italy’s Northeast is devoid of tourists, which of course makes it a pleasure to visit. The dramatic beauty of the landscape is matched by its wonderful wines, many of them with hard-to-pronounce Germanic names.

Vin will do his best to introduce you to some of the finest winemakers as well as the cultural and culinary gems of the Italian Northeast. And on October 23, you’ll return home with many wonderful memories–or you many decide to join Vin on his tour to Austria and Hungary!
