Vin started his wine tours with trips to the Finger
Lakes some 25 years ago, and while the beauty of the area has remained
constant, there has been a dramatic improvement and growth in the wine
industry. Dr. Konstantin Frank, whom we met on our last tour to the Finger
Lakes, was the acknowledged pioneer. His legacy still continues, joined
by dozens of other wineries around the 5 different Finger Lakes.
We’ll also travel further north to the Niagara
Escarpment and visit wineries on both sides of the border, including Warm
Lake Estates started by Mike vonHeckler who has traveled with Vin on 5
occasions. Mike specializes in his favorite grape,
pinot noir. And of course we’ll visit Niagara Falls, one of the great
wonders of the world.
This is a great way to discover-or rediscover-what was America’s premier wine region and also experience the beauty that it offers.
